This year (2012-2013) I decided to go with an ice cream themed classroom. Take a look at some of the pictures below.
Here are a few pictures of our classroom library. Students will learn how our library is organized and how to choose books from a variety of genres when they read.
Our assignment wall is where I write the homework for the night. Students copy down their homework into their student planners. If they have copied all assignments correctly, they will get a stamp from me.
These are the student's mailboxes where their mail is put each day. The table also has a basket on it where students turn in any important notes, papers or lunch money to me.
This is the area where we do recorded reading. Students listen to a chapter from a book on cd and then discuss the reading together.
